St. Jude

The impending powerful winds about to cross the UK seems to be giving Yorkshire a miss, though Met Office Yellow warnings (be aware) suggest there is a strong likelihood we might be hit by heavy rain.

Mind you, my little weather station here in Sheffield has seen sustained gusts of 37.4 mph today, and little rain up to 13:30 today.

Down South though, they are likely to be hit by a combination of winds of 80 mph and heavy rain.

Oddly, the storm has been named 'St. Jude'. St. Jude is the patron saint of lost souls.
